Tell us a little bit about yourself?

I’m from a small town but moved to Lincoln for school and have stayed around since. I graduated with a degree in elementary education and have been teaching the last 5 years. I absolutely love the outdoors and enjoy camping and hiking whenever I can. Family is so important to me- I’m very close with my family and my older sisters are my best friends. Traveling is one of my greatest joys. So far, I have been to 37 states and would love to visit all 50 states within the next 10 years!

What’s your favorite part about working at Ellynne Bridal?

I love listening to what the bride is looking for in a dress and being able to find the perfect one for her. Seeing the joy on a bride’s face when we’ve finally found her dress is such a great feeling for everyone in the room! My coworkers also make work so much fun!

What’s your favorite dress of the season?

There are so many beautiful dresses, it is so hard to choose just one. I love the All Who Wander line and how whimsical it is! The new dress Emme is probably my favorite from our All Who Wander Trunk Show. I also love Essense of Australia D3066 gown. This gown looks amazing on everyone and I love the sparkle underlay detail.

Top wedding day must-have?

I think one of the most important things would be a photographer/videographer. Being able to relive the best day after it’s done will be the best thing, especially since it will go by so quickly. 

What’s your best piece of advice for brides as they shop for their wedding gown? 

Make sure you’re bringing the right people with you. It’s important to have people you trust the opinion of, but also people who know what look you’re going for. Along with that, don’t try on too many dresses. It’s so fun getting dressed up in beautiful gowns, but trying on tons of dresses doesn’t help you find “the one.” It’s about quality over quantity.

What do you do in your down time? 

Depending on how much down time I have, I love to get outside and go hiking in different places. I also love cozying up and watching movies, reading, or doing puzzles. Or just hanging out with my boyfriend, friends, or family trying out different breweries or wineries.

What are your favorite things about weddings? 

My favorite thing about weddings is feeling all the love; the love the couple has for each other but also the love the guests have for the couple. It’s such a great feeling knowing the guests there support and care for the couple and their future together.
