Our Incredible Founder

Ellynne Bridal began in 2004 as a labor of love by our founder, Lynne Rustad. Lynne dreamed of creating the best bridal store, with the best experience for her brides—not just in Nebraska but of anywhere in the Midwest. When she created the motto, “Where you’re always treated like a princess,” that is exactly the experience Ellynne Bridal is crafted to create. Fifteen years later, Ellynne Bridal is the premier bridal gallery for hundreds of miles.

Lynne spent her life dedicated to helping others fulfill their dreams. A native of Chicago, she moved to Nebraska in the 1980s and built a two-decade long career in real estate and home construction, helping families find their dream homes. A supporter of the local community, Lynne spent countless hours working with and helping fund raise for numerous good causes, but particularly those that helped support and protect women and children from abuse. Her philanthropic passions are too many to list but included the Child Advocacy Center, Friendship Home, Cause-for-Paws, People’s City Mission, Rotary International and many others.

In August of 2017, Lynne passed away during her battle with a type of ovarian cancer. She left a legacy and a mission to continue to support her goals and passions. At Ellynne Bridal, we are honored to carry on the legacy of Lynne, her passion for helping brides find the perfect gown to fulfill their dream wedding and to continue to give back to the community that we are a part of.
