How far in advance do I need to start shopping for a MOB/G dress?
It is never too early to start the search for your MOB/G gown. We carry a variety of designers and each one can take up to 4 months to receive in the store from the day that we order them. Since 2020 has been a whirlwind of a year, we recommend shopping even earlier than you have planned. While we have not seen any delays, it is always good to be on top of ordering and this will also ensure that you have plenty of time for any alterations that may need to be made.
What color do you recommend that I get?
This is a very popular frequent asked question. We recommend purchasing a gown that you will of course feel comfortable in and one that will not clash with the rest of the wedding party. While you shouldn’t be matching the rest of the wedding party, it is important to take into account the colors that the bridesmaids and groomsmen are wearing so that the wedding photos will look cohesive.
What is the price range of your MOB/G dress?
The price of these dresses will vary by each designer! The gowns that we have in the store will be ranging from $300- $550. If your daughter purchases her dress at Ellynne Bridal we would be more than happy to give you a discount of 10% off!
What designers do you carry?
Jade by Jasmine, Jade Couture, Adrianna Papell Platinum are the designers that we carry for MOB/G dresses.
We do not carry every single dress in all collections of these designers. Also keep in mind if you are viewing dresses online in different colors, the colors online are color enhanced so they do not look like the exact color in person. We are happy to show you exact color options of your favorite dresses when you are in the store! If you see a dress online by one of the designers that we carry but we don’t have the gown in store, we are still happy to order it for you!
Since this wedding is the second most photographed event that you will be in following your own wedding, you definitely want to look your best. Make sure that you allow plenty of time in the process of finding your dress. If you look up inspiration pictures of what you may like this is always helpful for both of us! However, do keep in mind that it is so hard to see what you truly love until you start to try on gowns.
