Tell us a little bit about yourself?

            I am a senior fashion merchandising and business major at UNL, and I love all things fashion, glam, and wedding related. Since I can remember, I have been planning my own wedding. Even in elementary school, my best friend and I wanted to design our own wedding dresses and would create different designs on the back of notecards during school. I also love all things home decor, interior design, travel, and photography! 

I am originally from Eagan, Minnesota which is just outside of the twin cities, and I love going back to visit! Some of my favorite things to do there are hike up north in Duluth, go to the lake & my friends cabins, snowmobile in the winter, and figure skate on all the frozen lakes in the winter!

What is your favorite part about working at Ellynne Bridal?

I love everything I get to be a part of because of working at Ellynne. The company culture is awesome, Nichole (the store manager) makes work fun, and best of all, the brides we work with are incredible. I love how every day looks a little different, and I get to be a part of so many aspects of the store. Each employee is not tasked with only one thing, but instead we get to work with each other on a variety of projects such as social media, blogs, photography, sales and more. 

What is your favorite dress this season?

            I don’t know how I could pick just one!! My favorite collection is hands down All Who Wander. They have a wide variety of boho gowns that are figure flattering on so many brides. They have me dreaming of a Colorado mountain elopement. If I had to pick one, I think the Gio feathered gown is something so unique and fun!

Top wedding day must-have?

            I might be slightly biased, but definitely a photographer and videographer to capture all the candid moments of your day that you’ll have forever! Your wedding may only be one day, but you want to make sure your love and excitement is shown through photos and videos that will last a lifetime!

What’s your best piece of advice for brides as they shop for a wedding gown?

            Don’t judge a dress by the way it looks on the hanger! It can be so difficult to picture yourself in a gown when it’s on the hanger. There have been so many brides that think they aren’t a fan of the dress before they try it on, but once it’s on their body, they fall in love. Putting the dress on really brings it to life & makes all the difference! If you’re hesitant to try a gown on but your consultant pulled it for you, give it a try! It may be the ONE!

What do you do in your down time?

            In my free time, I love traveling, shopping, and most of all, photographing seniors, grads, couples and I even photographed my first wedding this past summer! I also do videography part time! Some of my favorite videos I have made for my sorority at UNL and even an online boutique. I got my first camera as a high school graduation gift, and haven’t put it down since. I have taken it everywhere from Italy to Belgium, Florida to Colorado. 

What is your favorite thing about weddings?

I love that every wedding is unique, and it is able to show off the couple’s personality and style. Everything from the flowers to the venue, color scheme and food choice were chosen by the bride and groom. Every unique aspect and thoughtful touch makes the wedding uniquely theirs!
