Consultant Spotlight: Paige

Tell us a little bit about yourself and what you do in your down time?

Although I am a native Nebraskan, I have lived, in Texas, North Carolina, Georgia, and Oregon before coming back in 2010.  I met my Texan husband of 31 years while attending UNL.  We started our married life in Fort Worth, but found ourselves moving a lot with his job.  I graduated college from UNCC in Charlotte with a Bachelors of Creative Arts.   While we were bouncing from state to state, we raised a family of five. We have three boys and two girls.  I can’t believe they are all between 19 and 27!  I am also looking forward to my second grandchild, a boy in September!  Our family of pets is also five (sensing a theme here?)  We have a Black Lab, Red Siberian Husky, and three cats.  There is a lot of Swiffering and Zyrtec going on!

One of the best things about living in the South for nearly twenty years was learning how to cook and being ready to throw a party on the fly! Now, I like to throw themed parties….especially my annual Christmas Bash.  Last year we dressed up as our favorite Christmas movie characters (there were quite a few from Christmas Vacation and some Leg Lamp decorations!)  Now, it’s pool party season and it seems more important than ever to enjoy those times we can be together.

We bought our current 1919 home three years ago.  I have spent this time renovating and bringing it back to life!  I really enjoy the design aspect of taking the ordinary or neglected and turning into something special.  I have a new project coming up and I will be redesigning and updating one of our properties near the Capitol.  My Pinterest  board is getting pretty full!
Now for my favorite, being a Bridal Stylist.  I have been in the industry for several years and absolutely love it!  Meeting people from all walks of life and from all over the United States is absolutely amazing.  Everyday at Ellynne Bridal is a new opportunity to be a part of the most important day in a bride’s life.  It is an awesome moment when our brides find “The One”!

What is your favorite part about working at Ellynne Bridal?

For me, being your bridal stylist is personal.  My goal is to listen to you, match you with a variety of dresses that fit your style (even if it’s something you would never think of!), and giving you THE BEST BRIDAL SHOPPING EXPERIENCE.  This is the journey that leads my brides to their “Yes!” moment.  You can’t repeat it; so please be prepared by bringing only your most important decision makers with you.

What is your favorite dress this season?

Martina Liana 1137.  This dress is amazing.  It’s customizable!  It is the perfect combination of fitted, yet flowy.  The bodice does amazing things for the bust (who doesn’t love that!)  you still feel like you can move because the comfort stretch lining moves with you! Lastly, if you love a dramatic train…this is your dream dress!  I highly suggest looking this one up; or better yet, come try it on!

What is your best piece of advice for brides as they shop for their wedding gown?

Give yourself permission to say “Yes” to your perfect dress (even if it’s your first bridal shop!).  Unless you are a super shopper who wants to go everywhere….be ready to find your dress at your appointment.  There are lots of ways to include those whom can not be with you: Face Time, take videos, or do a “Reveal” when your dress comes in!  Go out and celebrate after you find it and continue that special moment!

Wedding Day must have

A good friend whom captures all of the little moments! The day often goes by in a blur, so it’s very special to have less formal shots of your big day.

What are your favorite things about weddings?

I like to watch the faces of all the men in the bride’s life when they see her…..brothers, dad’s, and of course the groom! Do not forget your Kleenex!  I also like to see everyone’s different styles/personnel touches in their big day!

I look forward to helping you find your dream dress,
Paige
